Overlay_inserts

This is an example of an overlay edit. An overlay edit is placed on top of another clip. To do this, you drag a clip and place it right on top of your video. The difference between an overlay and an insert is that an overlay is placed on top of a video and an insert, you press the Ctrl button and drag the video down and it moves the clips over to the right. You can use an overlay when you want to replace a clip, while you'd use an insert edit when you feel that you're missing a part of a clip. In this case the insert works better because the video was missing something and I added another clip at the end.

Deleting/Extracting

A simple cut in the timeline means removing a clip while the other videos stay the same. A ripple delete is when you delete a clip, but the other videos come closer together. Lifting and extracting are two ways to remove clips. It is the same thing as doing a cut or a ripple delete. But it's easier because the buttons are already in the panels. This is an example of deleting clips.I decided to delete clips because there were some parts that were not necessary in this video.
